1. Write 4-5 sentences drawing a connection/relationship between something specific in the Core Handbook and your Fall classes, between the goals/values expressed and your own goals.

In the core handbook it talks about English composition and how these courses teach students and expose them to a range of reading and writing techniques that they can employ in other courses and are introduced to fundamental skills of information literacy. I have three classes that are very heavy on the writing aspect. I think having these classes will really help me with writing and being able to have a better understanding of writing. It will show me new ways and techniques of writing. It will also allow me to become much more confident in my writing and really take hold of my creative writing. 

2. Identify at least 2 questions about the Core – anything works, really!

When it comes to all the science classes and labs, do you have to take those only if you’re an environmental major or do you just have to take some of those in general. 

In the Citizenship and Civic Engagement part, will we need to do some sort of community service during our years attending the school or is that not a requirement.
